Description:

"Sweet, sickening, and exhilarating, the smell of blood is the smell of life. A middle-aged psychiatrist has the power to detect it. His young mistress hungers for it. And his wife of twenty years, Silvia, has begun to emanate it - overpoweringly. Silvia's affair with a violent young idler arouses a chilling curiosity in her husband, and his obsession with the details of the relationship fuels fantasies that become self-fulfilling prophecies. The smell of blood grows stronger as he watches his wife enslaved by her lover's passions, and soon the odor of life becomes an omen of death."--Jacket.
