The prophet & other stories (1998)

Short Stories

Samuel Rawet

Year: 1998
Authors: Samuel Rawet
Print type: BOOK

Description:

"Called the 'pioneer of Brazilian-Jewish writing' starting with a 1957 volume, Rawet (1929-84) until now has had only two of his short stories translated into English. Vieira has chosen 12 stories from four collections and excellently conveys Rawet's dense, hermetic, and often elliptical style. A long overdue volume"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
