Description:

"Richey Sauer is eighteen years old, beginning his first year at college to escape the dead end of middle-class, small-town life in Timaru, New Zealand. But in a landscape where redemption is a fiction and emotion is cliche, his intense internal world threatens to spill over. After an out-of-control dorm party Richey finds himself in front of a disciplinary committee on a sexual harassment charge for something he can't - or won't - remember. Dropping out of school before he's thrown out, he and his housemates Matt, Nick, and Ursula begin a freefall that forces Richey to face his most destructive desires."--BOOK JACKET.
