"Death of the Jaguar tells of the discovery of the Masaki, one of the last undiscovered tribes of the great river's basin, the only people on earth, by three airplane crash survivors pitilessly doomed to face the wild and inhospitable jungle. When, finally, they meet the Masakis, they give up all hope of finding civilization, willingly accepting the unimaginable forest life decreed by fate"--P. [4] of cover.
