Description:

The novel follows the exploits of Vento Caldo (translation Hot Wind) as he drifts through Rome. The novel is characteristic of the Italian neo-realistic movement and is an unsympathetic. stripped down narrative description of Vento's experiences and love affairs. Reminicent of Nelson Algren's early work.
