Description:

Anna McIntyre, now eighteen, has enjoyed her time of respite while her brutal father Roderick has been sent away to work by Sir Malaroy of Noble House. But little does she know that her life is about to be changed radically — all because of the chance discovery of the Luckenbooth locket given to her years ago by her estranged mother. Few people know the real story behind the necklace - the untold anguish, remorse, bloodshed and blackmail that have been kept secret for a generation. As events of the past — acts of murder, abuse and outrage — are revealed, the truth finally begins to emerge, but can it really liberate the McIntyre and Noble families, or will the prick be too high? Set in the beautiful Scottish countryside, Fraser delicately weaves an intricate plot of fascinating characters. This is the third book in the Noble Saga following Noble Beginnings and Noble Deeds.
