Description:

"Whatever happened to honeymoons? Wanda Nell Culpepper is looking forward to some quality time with her new husband, Jack: She's even switched shifts at the Kountry Kitchen. But a long-unsolved murder is about to intrude on their wedded bliss--good thing crime is one of Wanda Nell's blue plate specials! When the newlyweds start digging into an unsolved murder from thirty-one years ago--a young woman's body had been found on the Tullahoma County High School football field--they begin to uncover a twisted trail of secrets and deceit. With the help of retired schoolteacher Ernie Carpenter, they track down the original prime suspect, who swears he's innocent--and leads them to a relative of the murdered woman, who is still alive...but not for long. No sooner have Wanda and Jack met with the man when he, too, is killed--and a cold case is suddenly hotter than a fly on a grill..."--p. [4] of cover.
