Description:

"These are stories that take place in Montana, Wyoming, and the Trinity Alps of northern California. Set in late fall when blizzards threaten, each novella is about people who have reached the age where there are no more dress rehearsals; everything now is for keeps.". "A recently paroled ex-con steals a car and attempts to outrun a violent past. An out-of-work logger finds that love can both sustain and destroy. And a woman's journey by rail in the snowscape of Wyoming becomes a tale of discovery and hard-won redemption."--BOOK JACKET.
