Holy radishes!

Humor

Roberto G. Fernández

Authors: Roberto G. Fernández
Print type: BOOK

Description:

Ingenious, inventive, insane - Fernandez offers all this and more in a microcosm of paradise lost and hope everlasting. Exiled by a communist takeover from their rarified and privileged existence in Xawa, the wacky characters in Holy Radishes! pursue their dreams of recreating their former lives in the remote community of Belle Grande in the Florida Everglades. While Holy Radishes! is a parable of the Cuban immigrant community, it is foremost the story of Nelly Pardo, a dreamer who longs for the Eden called Mondovi and her truffle-loving pet pig Rigoletto. To fulfill her dreams for a better world Nelly forges an unlikely alliance, reflecting every women's capacity to endure, survive and conquer.
