Description:

When Barney Bolt went to college, he was an amateur boxing champion. He was good and he knew it, but his fists only got him in trouble. Barney determined to live down his reputation as a pug by going out for football. Yet Kip Slade, a star player, had it in for him. Hackled and insulted, Barney kept his temper through a grudge fight and a fake initiation -- until the explosive night before the game.
