It's autumn in New England, and there are spooky things afoot! Walking home from a day of chores in the village, Birdie encounters the trickster Brindlebeast. By refusing to back down or cower in fear, Birdie brings about a most satisfying and unexpected turn of events. Based on an old English tale, the story is retold here with humor and grace.
